Most fun build off so far since I didn't have to paint, started with what I think was a replacement GT Dyno Moto glide frame, no signs it was ever built up, a nice score on ebay think it was $25 IIRC no other bids from a fairly local guy. Got my money's worth out of the Dremel on this one fabbing the standoffs for the truss rods, grinding stuff to fit. Stoked that my first attempt at lacing a wheel has stayed true after several off-road adventures.

Re: Purple Reign - A GT Dyno Moto Glide Klunker in 29er

Deluxe klunker look, nice parts selection, nice build. I have a similar KK frame in stock factory build, you've given me some ideas for it. Great job.

Re: Purple Reign - A GT Dyno Moto Glide Klunker in 29er

Everytime I look at that frame I have to remind myself it's a 29er, the proportions are just right! On my 29er the wheels look huge, but this thing looks GREAT!

Re: Purple Reign - A GT Dyno Moto Glide Klunker in 29er

Thanks guys! I think the reason the proportions look so right is the length of this frame over a stock 29er, almost a 49 inch wheelbase. On the downside, the fork could use a bit more rake (maybe another inch or so) as the head angle is super slack which makes the steering flop quite a bit at low speed or just sitting there. Not a deal killer by any means and otherwise very stable at speed and a real juggernaut once up to speed.

Re: Purple Reign - A GT Dyno Moto Glide Klunker in 29er

This looks like a bike that could cruise for hours! Awesome frame and color too. Nice job!

Re: Purple Reign - A GT Dyno Moto Glide Klunker in 29er

that curvy frame combined w/the 29`s makes for one sweet modern klunker! the bike looks like a blast to ride too. i really like this one. :D

Re: ℙurple ℝeign - A GT Dyno Moto Glide Klunker in 29er

love the bike, love the videos!!! :D

Re: Purple Reign - A GT Dyno Moto Glide Klunk9r

This is a tough year for voting, but I really love this bike. I want to commute on it every day.

Re: Purple Reign - A GT Dyno Moto Glide Klunk9r

its not the same frame style but you have inspired me to build the 82 king sting frame I have been lugging around since 83 got it off a Schwinn dealer for 30 bucks. way cool build and nice proportions it looks fast and strong

Re: Purple Reign - A GT Dyno Moto Glide Klunk9r

Thanks for the kind words, so many awesome bikes in the build-off this year as usual really hard to pick a top 10! Threw an extra vid in from the beach yesterday, wanted to re-shoot today but the marine layer kept it overcast and windy (chain need more lube after off road riding also).
