Spanning more than 10 years, I have collected, sorted, disassembled, stored, moved, discarded, cataloged, degreased, and compassionately minded hundreds and hundreds of pounds of forgotten 2 wheel rusty rolling stock.
Being the vigilant guardian of such treasures, I have stored my cherished assets under beds, in attics, storage units, closets, and any place I could fit a container of greasy bent corroded stuck bike parts! In a moment of weakness, I even compulsively constructed a dedicated storage shed for these precious rust laden treasures!
With a humble homecoming to reason, I reduced my collection to Chicago’s finest premium steel, Schwinns!
Thanks to Rat Rod Bicycles I have been energized and inspired to………………….. FINISH A PROJECT…………!!!! My objective was to be one of the 1st to have a finished ride displayed on rrbbo 4!
I made it!
Thank you all for your witty comments, creative ideas and hours of wonderful entertainment! Thank you RatRod bicycles for your superb site!
Cheers!

Schwinn Pre-War "Grapecycle"
Purple matching rims with white wall tires; powder coated skip tooth crank with Krylon purple frame.
Schwinn 24" with Floral Decor

This humped prewar survivor has been trial assembled, test ridden and checked for road worthiness. Schwinn approved! S7 middleweight wheels with a Bendix 2 speed hub are in attendance.
A fast rattle can of rich attractive sandy brown paint? Motivated by an irresistible hoofed dessert animal that chews cud!
Out the back door you can take a quick gravity ride down the face of the moutain and you will end up at your favorite coffee shop or micro brewery with your cycling buddies. If you go over the top of the mountain it will take your breath away!! Rivers and more mountains and miles of trails. Look in the background and you can see some of the mountain bike trails.
Camel Back "Woodie"
I purchased this bike in an excisting collection years ago. One of my buddies wanted it bad. He refinished the wheels, straightedned and welded the frame then assembled the bike. Got tired of the project and gave it back to me. Thats a good buddie!
So many have requested more views! Here's out the front of our place. Cheers
