I'd been waiting for an appropriate (ok, cheap) large frame sturdy road bike to come along so I could hang this tank off the top bar and build a motor bike around it. This Schwinn filled the bill: It's sturdy (and heavy.) I added truss rods, a bull moose handlebar and thornproof tires and tubes.

How are the 27 inch light weight wheels holding up? I would think they are more sturdy than more modern 700c wheels.

I only ride it occasionally, but the wheels seem to be holding up just fine, and, yes, it's slightly faster than the 26 inch ballooners.

Steve, how many gallons does the tank hold? Those bikes get like 100 mpg don't they?

I'm guessing more like 80 mpg. These cheap Chinese two-strokes are not exactly fine tuned. They are fun, though.
