Ok guys if anyone could help me with this I'd greatly appreciate it. I have a 1960s flight liner with a tank light. The problem I'm having is understanding how it worked and getting it to work. I know the light has a switch on the tank (mine is broke off) to turn the light on. I was wondering if anyone knew a way to fix this problem? Or just to even explain the way the light worked. Thanks!

Re: Sears flight liner tank light question?

was the switch attached to the battery tray on these ? if so i would just try to find a tank with a good tray/switch or mount an aftermarket switch in place.

Re: Sears flight liner tank light question?

those are a fairly common tank design compared to others, maybe post something up in the wanted section if you want to keep it as close to original as possible. if not there's plenty of room in those tanks to fit a new switch and get it wired up.
