Very true. I did do some preliminary to the Twin Flex Assembly today. Hopefully get to stacking it up soon. Thanks for the jab to get it in gear!!

Maryville TN. Just outside of Knoxville.

Yea I'd love to run down that phone number and somehow identify the original store. Word is that it originated out of Knoxville. I picked it up in Rogersville TN which is upper East, East TN.

What does the badge say about it to help ID its originality?

I'd also like to date it as well. I'd imagine its pre 1948 and the Schwinn factory fire so S/N may not help or will it?

Thanks

Re: Second Cycle Truck in Two Days picked

Gotta be kidding me! LOL I've been hunting cycletrucks with no luck (besides outrageously priced parts on eBay) - don't know how many of them made it to the Rocky Mountains... Congrats!

Re: Second Cycle Truck in Two Days picked

What's the serial number? It's a '41 or earlier, that's for certain. No records but you can compare the number to a prewar Schwinn of known age. Gary

I think it's a Schwinn with a CWC chain guard.

Re: Second Cycle Truck in Two Days picked

From what I've read, the first Cycle Truck (Schwinn) came out in 1939, and the serial numbers began with "A" and went in succession, so "B" might be around that time frame. They started the numbers with "A" again in 1946, and again went in succession, so my guess is it's either 39/40, or 46/47. The cranks may have a 2 digit date stamp.
