Here's a thread to show off your Ruff Cycles builds. Reply with your pictures and links to your build threads if you have one.

Here's mine...

I recently put together a Ruff Cycles Porucho. It's not totally finished but got it where I could ride it to make sure all the parts work and to try it out for fit. Here's what it has on it so far:

  • Ruff Cycles Porucho frame
  • Sunlite Deluxe Springer 1" threaded fork (used adapters to fit 1 1/8" headtube)
  • Felt 24"x50mm gold wheels, 12g spokes
  • Sturmey Archer front hub with drum brake
  • Nexus 8 speed rear hub with roller brake
  • Felt cream Thick Brick 24x3 tires
  • 1-piece crankset with Electra Sweetheart chainring
  • Shimano NX-01 oval link chain
  • Nuvo kickstand
  • Project 346 Basman handlebars
  • Brooks grips
  • Crane Suzu brass bell
  • Shimano hand brake levers with 8-speed thumb shifter
  • Brooks B33 saddle
It just has red oxide primer on it but planning to build a tank and fit fenders and then have the frame, tank, fenders, fork powder coated maroon similar to that used on the Felt Deep 6.

Here are the wheels. I started out with a pair of Felt Hot Wheels hoops that had never been laced. I knew I had to build something around them.

Ruff Cycles Tango S v.10
Project 346 Balloon Tires 26 x 2.35 stretched
26 x 4 inch rims from a Mongoose Beast
Fork and stem also from Mongoose Beast.
Sram Automatix Coaster Hub

This was the first bike I've ever built. I had to re-lace the rear wheel because I needed to change the hub. The stock hub from the Mongoose Beast does not fit because it is too wide. Spray can paint job, satin baby blue. I forgot to clear coat it before assembling to bike DOH! I might strip it in a few weeks anyhow and go for a bare metal look.

I am sort of disappointed with the front fork. As you can see, there is major wheel gap between the wheel and the top of the fork.
