Not the final product, but I had this light in my mountains of motorcycle bits and I was thinking about incorporating it. Figured I could use it to trial some paint for the frame. Still one more "application" then we'll clear and see if it passes the test (Mrs Awesome and the proverbial Pinterest eye of power)

Capt, I can't remember / calculate which demographic you fit into, so I'm not sure if you remember Erector Sets from BITD? That's the first thing that popped into my head when I saw this just now.

Lincoln Logs and Erector sets were big players for me growing up! :thumbsup:

Whenever I drive past an open garage that is all neat and tidy I think, "That dude didn't have an Erector Set when he was a kid".
 
Set up the poor man's paint booth. Ez up and 3 tarps.

Finished sanding raw
Etching primer
Heat gun and barrel fan
Scotch Brite the primer
Base coat silver metallic

Popped the sides down to show the metallic goodness. Not a bad view from my booth

Then it was time to continue last night's experiment

Wow! I love the fade on the tywrap! :bigsmile:

The paintwork looks creative and cool, professional job! Can't wait til you slap it on the bike!
