Some pics of my new Tango and the chain clearing the rim and frame as well.

I used a 10mm offset cog shown here:

As you can see, the chain clears the rim by a few MM. And it just "kisses" the right hand seat stay. I haven't had any problem riding it this way.

Couldn't you add another washer to that side of the hub , but place on the inside of the frame? Would pull the frame off the chain a bit? That seat post is the hot set up . It gets you back further from the pedals and bars and keeps that low profile look. nice bike.
