Hey Folks,

Does anyone have a diagram of a bike pedal so I know the proper terminology of the parts? I having trouble getting help or advice and I think it's because I don't know one of the names of a part that makes up a pedal. So I am asking for help but no one understands me because I am using the wrong terminology. Thanks

What exactly do ya need to know?

Just explain it,somebody on here will know.

I have but no one seems to know or, at least no replies...Ok let me try again, this may get very wordy, sorry;

Ok the pedal has a threaded pin which goes into the crank arm. That pin is actually a long bolt that runs from one side of the pedal to the other. on both ends it has bearings to help it spin.

I need to know what that complete bolt with the bearings is called. I need them for my my home made pedals.

Maybe it's better to by or hunt down some old cheap pedals and yank the part out of them? except I want standard size because I have to machine the shaft it will fit into.
