havent been around as much in the last year or so, got into a few other things that were kinda necessary, and in research for info realized theres no place like rrb. for those of you who never go to any other forum, its a whole different world out there. its so friendly here, everybody tries to help each other learn. and you cant read for 5 minutes without finding some humor to brighten your day. i cant explain it, its just a great group of people here, dont think ive ever met anybody from here in person, but it sure feels like ive known many of you for years. you guys are my kind of people, and im proud to be a rat. geuss what im trying to say is i missed this place, to the point i actually felt something was missing in my life. its not the bikes, its the people here. steve has created a great thing here, and not to take anything away from him, but its the people here who make it so special. now,to get back in the basement and see where i left off on my last project.

I think it's great that every so often a similar thread to this one comes up here. It's true, this forum is a breath of fresh air on the internet.

So true, I've met a few members here and it's a great bunch of guys and gals here. Feels like family.

I think most of the informational content comes from our bike specialists in Kansas though they arent the friendliest bunch :p

The only other forums that I spent much time on in the past were bikeforums.net and the Dahon foldng bike forum. For the most part both of those forums were pretty friendly, but nothing like RRB.

Great group of people here. I have been lucky enough to meet three RRBers face to face. Despite that, I still love this site. :p . Just kidding! It was super cool talking shop face to face with Jake, DrT, and Josh.

Welcome back. Sit a spell. Y'all come back now, ya hear.

The Dahon forum pretty much folded when the son broke away to form Tern bikes. Some saw Fugsley on the bikeforum site, but I really haven't been on that site in a long time.

I've just joined and spent hours today reading various posts (don't tell the wife!!! She'd left me a list of chores!!!) and it's great!!! I thought being in the UK would make me feel quite isolated and as we're a small nation, you imagine that with so many events stateside more of you would meet up, and we forget how far flung you are!!! Anyway, we seem to have the same issues and problems, like too little time and money to fully follow our Rat Rod aspirations!!!
I've read a lot of other forums but never inspired to join one 'til I found this!!! THANK YOU!!!

I joined a few weeks ago and so far everyone seems very cool.......usually spend most of my time on the museum, but my neighbor has got me hooked on these older rides now so here I am.

X-Ray...where at in Western,pa? Im in Penn Hills, dogdart is in Millvale, and we have others scattered up north a bit. Get used to us by showing upfor a ride or the Bicycle Heaven x-mas party. We'd love to get ya hooked! AL

I agree , this site is awesome , i am relatively new to forums in general , was on bike forum for a couple months but it was boring... when i found this site , i realized that every time i have done a search in the past for information or inspiration on cruiser or vintage bikes i was refer to this site (HERE),but i don't understand why i did not register before, this site is a maze of inspiration/cool bike/good people/and useful information ... Props!

I think RRB dramatically improved around the end of May 2012...

when I joined.

Since then, everyone seems happier, all the posts are more informative, the For Sale section is more robust, and Steve has decided to keep the forum going rather than shutting in down in June.

waltz back in? naaaa. polka maybe  im happy to see so many people agreeing with me. anyway, can anyone explain how my bike seats got smaller in the last year or so?

I agree this is the best site!!1. I was looking at other bike forums and this feels and looks more update and friendly. I also noticed some of these members are also on that other site.

But again this place is the BOMB!!

JUST SAYING
