Temporary fit! Need to cut a piece first.

Not bad!

I also made a decision... Granny gets one 'traditional' chain...
I could not work it out with the higher sprockets and leg clearance...

I already turned the BB around. Chainwheel on the other side.

Now its not Granny in Chainz anymore (plural). That leaves a hole... litorally!

I wondered about those dropouts a while back…looking more sane now.

Nice new name.

Nice new name.
Thank you!

Dropout looks pretty good.

Cut!

Brown spray can was empty so....

I will add nuts on the protruding screw threads there. I am still working on mounting the fenders.
Happy how it turned out! Also the black lines.

You can clearly see granny = modified

If you zoom in, you can see the 'stretched' material from the out radius of the bend..... thats cool...

Piece of junk profile.

Rounded and filed.

Slowly getting there.

1000022967.jpg

Shopping list for the fender assembly.

Closing the unused BB gap: Shall I use a chrome cap (needs a hole for a screw) or put in that black plastic cap?

Obviously needs to go in deeper, but you get the idea.

Bummer that the double chains did not work out. But its going to be a cool bike for sure!

I feel like the chrome would look better, given the rest of the bike.

Let it shine! 😎

These caps were so light, a bit of sealant is perfect.

1000023018.jpg

1000023027.jpg

Seat and the rear wooden fender assembled.

Using the old fender struts.

Shortening the front fender.

She's almost done! A few details, coating the fenders, a chain and different grips and who knows what ideas might pass by!

Since I'm hecitant about the seat, I found another second hand seat which will arrive soon. Its not that different, but completely black.

I assembled the chain and a different rear sprocket. Now the gears are 44-22.

Uh oh. Need to finish the fenders anyway, so I will cut a few millimeters.

This thing is, freaky! Can't wait to ride!

I finished and stained the fenders.
Assembled them and did a quick testrun! The bike rides pretty good! Its a bit getting used to the angles, but feels like a solid bike. The rear tire was a bit too soft, so I'm going for a longer testride this week.

I also decided to keep the seat. I repaired the other seat for my klunker bike.

Now finish a few details and granny's done!
