I'm looking for a cheap first cruiser project to work on untill I find the perfect vintage project. I saw a few cranbrooks with 26x3's on them. Can you fit a 26x3 on the schwinn delmar or the OP with out major mods. I like the look of the OP but lean towards the Schwinn since I have owned a bunch of old ones over the years. I do a fair amount of welding and fabrication at work and also have access to a machine shop so some mods don't scare me but I'm not looking at making this a major project. Thanks for any advice you can offer for a cruiser newb!

If the Pacific "Schwinn" hasn't changed over the last year or so, 3" tires should fit OK, you may want to flip the sprockets. It's definitely not the same as an old Schwinn. If you buy one, I highly recommend clean and lubing it before any real use.
