I just got this a few days ago. I had it on the Cabe forums and learned lots of great info (thanks again RMS37). Early 1940's with blacked out hubs and chainring. Thought I'd share over here too.

BUMP: Does anyone have any suggestions for removing the old reflective tape from the fork? Someone mentioned a heat gun. Anyone have other thoughts?
 
Whats the point of blacked out parts anyway? I have a black 1932 CCM with the same parts blacked out,

I really think it was more a matter of Chrome being declared a strategic material, and it was not available for production of non-essential items like chromed handlebars and such.
 
Maybe thats why the handlebars where really rusty, they proberly had some kind of coating on them. old bikes show us so many neat things.
