Rode the Goblin in it's latest form to work today. Temporary brake compromise until I find a front drum. I pulled a 24" fork set from the parts pile and stripped the paint, polished them and painted some accents and then some clear coat and installed a front brake. Put the apes on. Tomorrow it gets a 42" shock absorber sissy bar installed. Decided the back of the bike needs to be as tall as the front of the bike.

Went to "Keep Them Rolling" today. A weekend with all kinds of ww2 vehicles and themes. Weather was hot! There was a 'Patton' tank driving with a V12 Turbodiesel. Ground was shaking!

Took the buildoff bike and enjoyed the ride with my nephew.

I made it to the Superior pump track & spent about an hour longer than planned. Apparently my 4x4 pump track mini tour last weekend help my progression jump a couple levels & was faster than I've been thus far. By a lot! Felt like I was on rails with a tailwind regardless of direction & didn't want to stop.:rockout:

Staying longer ended up with me unloading the truck in a downpour that I was trying to avoid but totally worth it. Can't wait to hit other tracks to see if I'm faster there as well. The much anticipated Berthoud Bike Park opens Saturday at 9:00am. It is set up to host UCI World Cup events.......

Re-Learning FS MTB and just about there. Also going as fast as possible on anything with two wheels as often as possible.

Absent from here in order to ride and build more, with riding taking precedence this year. I normally don't have a phone/camera on my person when riding anymore and if I do, it rarely leaves my pocket.

Taken to thank Noel personally:

Mostly riding my daily rider 09 Schwinn. Doing about 10 miles a day. Today I found these 4 fishing nets put out for the trash. All are in really good shape.

The theme for the final night of Bike Night's 19th season was "Oktoberfest" & we had about 145 riders! I rode my Elgin Moto.

A bit hard to see in a still photo but we stopped at 3 establishments for Chicken Dancing & sang Happy Birthday to a patron at one of them.

A friend from the Old Bikes Club came up from the southeast metro area to see what Bike Night was all about with his Silver King.

A fun finalé to the season! It has been a fun year & looking forward to special events to celebrate the 20th year next year!

Had blast today joining the annual "Kreisfahrt" (circle ride) around the center of Berlin together with my kids.
Even a blown tire (valve ripped of) couldn't stop us thanks to a bike shop literally around the corner...

Took the Goblin to work today in yet another new combination. Until I for sure figure out the rear derailleur situation I went back to a coaster but had already installed a brake on the front and decided to keep both. And put the tall suspension sissy bar on, now I need to get a laid back seat post, I'm feeling a little squeezed forward. New grips and added a barend rearview mirror. And I couldn't help myself with the with the way longer than necessary valve caps. The apes are off my trike project and the work well there, they are about 3-4" to talk for the Huffy. I'm going with the next size down and push the seat back some. I'm to close to the bars and feels like I'm almost a bit in front of the crank. But it's fun using this bike as my test subject. Although when this is upsidedown, you don't need a workbench everything is at a great height to work on.
