Winter Bike

• I've had this Hawthorne for over 3 years & haven't done anything with it , so I'm gonna turn it into a winter beater .

• Plans include studded tires on aluminum rims , 3 speed coaster & Monark Knee Action .

That's how the frame was made , as a twin bar . Made some progress , need a smaller chainwheel , and some rat trap pedals . Nothing Fancy here .

Your bike is cool (literally and figuratively :lol: )! and you got some snow too
If you're looking for easier gearing, you could go for a larger hub gear
might be an easier swap...

I put the biggest rear on it I have . The crank bearings need cleaned & greased anyway .

That is sharp, the rear fender would look cool on the front....protect people from them studs!
