Had a nice "Winter" shakedown ride on my El Guapo this weekend here in Savannah.

Did someone say something?

After ridIng on Tuesday in the 70s which was after sledding in the 30s on Saturday, I was ready to do some work on my day off on Thursday, then it got cold again. Ugh. This big red blanket and my gas logs blazing don't make me want to go out in the shop... all alone.

Hope you have some good padded shorts.

We've had a real winter this year in CT. I have not gone this long without riding in years. It's getting to me.

On the plus side though, I'm getting a lot of house work done. I re-did my downstairs bathroom, painted the master bedroom, and am now starting on a kitchen re-fresh.

the wife is happy.

The happy wife is a beautiful thing. I always find though that my happy wife points do not roll over like my phone minutes. If I have 100 happy wife points at the end of the month, I lose them which stinks. Anyone else have that problem.

Happy Wife = Happy Life. As for the rollover it really depends on if you base it on a monthly calendar or some sort of calendar that she controls... :?

In other news, I just sold a Columbia Playbike and part of the payment was a 1979 12" original Star Wars Boba Fett. I'll post pictures of it tonight on one of my bikes so it is bike related.

12" Boba Fett! I have a 12" pianist... that geenie needs a hearing aid. :(

yes, but i love building and ridings bikes more
i've been here in new england all of my 37 years but it seems to suck more and more the older i get

Posted this over on the other cold weather thread but thought it worked here as well...

I feel sorry for you guys, the kind of weather you are talking about is just crazy!

Over here in Australia I am having the opposite problem, we have had some days over 110F and today was not so bad at 104F, still could not work on my bikes because the sun will cook you in a matter of minutes, had to wait till the sun was down to work tonight, trying to avoid falling behind on my "Muscle bike build off" bike. My wife came outside and snapped a picture about 10:30pm...

Keep your chins up Guys, give it a few months and I will be wrapped up here with the heater going watching you guys do the big build-off...

Luke.

 Some funny stuff you go on about you guys! Dont forget Kangaroos!

Luke, that is a large back tire you are working on!
It is a 90/90/16 motorbike tire, works out the same height as a standard 26inch mountain bike tire, the rim is a narrowed car rim measuring 16x3.5...

If you have not already, check out the build off, there are some cool designs coming out on there... http://www.ratrodbikes.com/forum/viewto ... &sk=t&sd=a

Stay warm,

Luke.

we got nailed with a nor'easter here in massachusetts. 20 inches and huge snowdrifts. this pic ( hard to tell but my beard is frozen solid  ) is when i just came in from shoveling and snowblowing. the backyard was bare ground before the storm. the fence in the distance is a 4 foot tall chain link ( that is a full sized park bench peeking thru the snow too ). its still snowing and drifting so we came in to thaw out and have some breakfast. im reeeeeeally anxious for spring!!!
