Going to get as close to JD green as I can find without driving 25 miles for a can of paint
Can't help ya, all we got over here is Ford Blue and International Red.
But Krylon's probably got something close at Walmart...

Merle.

I used to get spray cans of "Implement Green" that is right on the money.

Picked some paint today

Not really happy how the yellow is covering the primer

Love the green, everything from the color to how it went on

Maybe a white spray over the primer, then the yellow? Would be more bright yellow that way.

Just brainstorming up here in 'way too cold to paint' country. ;)

Been teetering on to cold to paint here too. Was out of town shopping with the family today and picked up a can of Krylon JD yellow, So I'm going to sand and repaint the yellow parts

Yellow never covers very well, especially gloss yellow. A wet coat of the gloss tends to pull away from edges letting the base color show through. As it stands you could try applying a couple of thin tack coats of the yellow over the current paint. Spray it from a distance so the paint goes on nearly dry. Once you have reasonable coverage with the tack coats hit it with a heavier coat to get the gloss finish you want.

Went over it with the Krylon and it covered all the edges with no problem

Planned on getting it back together the day after Christmas but got hit with the crud and now I'm feeling better it's cold and wet out.

A few minor set backs but she is coming together. Hate using Schwinn parts, not even sure where the Schwinn sprocket came from but the nut I thought went to it won't go on.

The chrome under the paint on the sissy bar is shot, so I will be stripping it to bare metal and clearing it.

Ha-Ha! I feel your pain! I’m not really a schwinn guy either, and I’ve had a bear of a time on my stingray project.

-it seems with a schwinn bike or trying to repurpose schwinn parts, there is no cheap or easy fix or solution.

I love your wheel and tire combo.

Keep it up. It’s looking great.

Thanks, I have ran across more Stingray parts building this bike than I knew I had, may just steal a crank off another bike for right now
