Thanks for the welcome!
The red Schwinn appears to be a '48 from the S/N E42956 and some other indicators, not in bad shape considering it's been in a garage 100 yards from the pacific for the last 20 years. Whoever painted it red didn't do a good job so the original is right underneath, could get it back I think but there are some rust issues. Heck with it, just blast and rattle it. Drive train needs a serious going over, broken spokes, riims are rough.
Kelly, good eye for waves, it's defintely not an MB beach break kind of wave, it's North County just south of Swamis on a nice reef break closer to where I live.
Hooch, I didn't mean to imply the brand of cruiser was a Mission Bay, it actually started life as a Nirve Inferno model, now peppered with closeout BMX parts and the monark spring fork copy. Mission Bay was referring to an area down here that is an ideal booze cruise beach area as Kelly mentioned. July 4th is unbelievable, 500,000 people(do the boob math) packed in to a beach area of several square miles, with paved bicycle lane access all the way.
