Wheel relaced, hub rebuilt, wheel trued close enough for Gov't work, for the time being. Only grease allowed on this build is of the pink persuasion :wink1:.

Thanks for doing the 'Rubber comparison'. I'd forgotten what the 'pepto pink' tires looked like. Here's my .02 cents; if you aren't painting the frame, definitely the darker pink tires. They also match the lower part of the chain guard decal and your rear rim really well. IF (please?!?) you decide to paint the frame pink, and it ends up being the darker pink shade, then the pepto tires would be cool, as they match the seat really well and you'd really be "in the pink", if you know what I mean.

This reclining PP reminds me of your build. And now I'm going to pull up a Pink Panther cartoon on Youtube, put on the headphones here at 5:25 a.m., and watch my version of Saturday morning cartoons!

Ok, I cut out the center on the drive side, then dimpled in a 3rd tier for clearance on both sides for chain and brake arm.

I will probably put in some sort of finishing ring from the plumbing section to polish the look, like so...

Thought these would be sweet valve caps, but the heads are too small to fit a Schrader. I could do the waist, but just wanted rad 'sunglasses Pink Panther', not swinger 'Hugh Hefner Pink Panther' lol! So I will stick with the Krylon valve caps.

We're getting close! Here's a mockup with moon, tires and crank in place. I need about a centimeter more of clearance without having to rock the frame while pedaling and I think I can insert the stem a little further to gain that cm.

Side note, (forgot to take a before pic but) I found this little guy at the H.F.H. ReStore and it looked like it had been sitting in a brine for 40 years. I brushed and oiled it, and it is now one of my favorite tools

The pink tires are perfect for this!!! Are you gonna stack the lights like a 70s chopper?
