Re: The heart attack

I have an 8' chunk of that. I guess I could have stacked up the tubing I'm going to use. Shoot I would draw a picture , but I cant draw. I saw it in a dream last night though. Whats the deadline ..A week or so I hope. I didnt read the fine print.

Re: The heart attack

So it' gonna be BLUE?.....Good choice!

Re: The heart attack

I see you are using your neighbor's chain link fence post again for the BB

Re: The heart attack

Ok I welded a piece of 3/8 pipe in the Raliegh fork that I drilled out ,and got a 1/2''bolt stuck through it. I also cut off a chunk of tubing for the neck and got the cups and bearings put in...Moving right along. I'm going to build some kind of a springer...how wild depends on my ability and imagination....but I'm off and running.

Re: The heart attack

Hey Uncle you want some help with that fork design? Shoot me a PM and I'll send you some CAD drawings to give you a few ideas.

Later Travis

Re: The heart attack

I'm still not sure if I'm in this. The being judged kinda kills it for me. I did get part of the frame together today after badly bending enough tubing to make a scrap man smile. So for better or worse here is my start start so far.

You know I look at these other sites and I see people doing all kinds of strange things to bikes...A 16'' slick on the back with a real radical long springer on the front.....Some really wild bends creating a fantastic bike frame. Then I look around RRB and its....well I changed my pedals and flipped my bars over ...How do you like my new build. Come on folks there are some of the most talented people around on this site. I look at some of the past builds and go mannn that was cool and how did he do that. I know everybody dosent have a welder and can do some earth shattering things to metal , but we shouldnt have to wait for an anything goes buildoff to produce something great. I had to go to the skin specialist and he froze about 30 spots on my arms that were pre cancerous...yeh yeh yeh. As soon as these heal enough to get back to building I'm going to try for absurdity on a build. I think everybody should get their creative juices flowing and join me in the Build Something Wild . I know that its out there and all it will take is to watch a few Steven King movies and get properly motivated and then build something that you can be proud of. Back to stretchen anything that rolls

C'mon, Paul. You make some of the most unique bikes I've seen. Are they SUPER stretched, SUPER low? No!.....Are they SUPER cool? YES...I've been to all the "other" sites, I like your bikes the best! Why? Because you can RIDE the freakin thing! So quit second guessing yourself and finish........Can't wait to see it!

Re: The heart attack

Hey thanks Kota. I was hopeing for really out there and It looks kinda simple. I have to keep trying and maybe I can get my builds up there with No forks Olli and some of the great minds that have appeared on this site. Trying to get the hang of this bender kinda kept this one simple. I will finish it ,but I will do better the next time too.

Re: The heart attack

Gee you guys. Ok I was going to stick a second bar in my frame and when I showed it to my wife ,she said it made it look like every other frame I have ,and I should leave it out. I know she will still cook my food and make me smile if I put the other bar in ,but I'm not sure if its worth it...what do yall think.

Re: The heart attack

I like it! It is your trademark...That frame is the next step in the "evolution" of your frames. When you get to building the twisty, curvy, forkless, seatless frames, we'll still be able to tell it's yours because of your DOUBLE bar "trademark". Wear it like a BADGE! ......At least you got a "cool" trademark, mine is bending stupid forks.
