I took a few hours off work this afternoon and started cutting and welding. I decided to go with a slightly less rake for better handling. 40degrees at the head. All splices were made with internal sleeve and plug welds. A few gussets will be installed.

Looking at using a Monark dual springer for front or a dual crown cruiser fork. Not sure just yet. On the fly at this point. Will finish welding after weekend. Going trout fishing in the mountains this weekend.

It’s a looker fer sure!
I kinda like the 20” rear. If you have space they will fit a 16” moped tire for some real fat-itude.
But the tallers look good too. I like that it keeps the horizontal bars parallel to the ground either way.

Today I worked on some quick visual stuff for proportion. Happy with it. Added some gusset patterns. Reworked the two 3/8 bars that were there. Shortened and stubbed a support to help with rear frame strength. Will be putting a fuel cell under the shell if I end up going with the 80cc. Still researching.

Got her back down on the ground today. Messing with bars for use. I will be making my I own I believe. working on tail section tomorrow and preparing for glasswork. I also think I’m going to throw the double spring Monark on it to see it. The one thing nice about these forks is I can drill out the top trees for risers and not be forced to use the traditional centered, steering post stem Decisions Will be made tomorrow.
