I've got an Atom drum brake rear hub I'm rebuilding for a klunker project. Has anyone changed the shoes in one of these? The springs are SUPER strong. I broke the spring locator pins off of one shoe while trying to stretch the springs over them. There must be an easier way. HELP!

I'm working on a build that requires I use 105ga spokes. I want to run Sun Rhyno Lite rims, but don't know if the bigger 105ga nipples will fii through the rim eyelets. Anyone have experience with this or something similar? I'll go to a non-eyelet rim if I have to, but I'd rather not...

Just picked this up. Was looking for a beater I could do a Cruiser/BMX thing on, and found this. The Atom drum brake hub sealed the deal.
