Ah but seats gotta do TWO things...
1. look cool
2. be comfy
So how's it feel sitting on it?
If it ain't comfy, ya ain't gonna wanna ride it...
Carl.
Welp Carl, you are 100% correct! And heres my anal process.........
If you see the 1st pic I posted in the thread, (thats my buddy Paul) holding the Mesinger seat for a mockup of the seat placement being that the seatpost will not be adjustable. We used an old seat I had laying around.
Then I bought a Velo style seat, Very comfortable BUT we speced it with the old seat that sat about 3 inches lower and that made the bike too tall for me being im 5"6'......
SO that seat got put aside and I ordered a ride-able replica wich has long low rails to leave alot of room for adjustment, but to me it looked well.....just toooooo big, so that got put aside........
Ill have to pop it back on one day to see what all you guys think about how It looks, the seat is HUGE to me lol, and I found myself remembering how perfect that old Mesinger seat felt, the height and placement was taylored to me and welded in place!! For being a old padded seat pan style seat, it was surprisingly comfee....... BUT I had my heart set on some springs, and well If that old seat had some spring to it......It would be perfect, so my brain started chuggin and and I merged in the huffy springer and well, its 100% more comfortable then the "Ride-able Replica" .....yet not quite the comfort of the Velo seat, but well If I can barely reach the peddles thats even worse...... SO now that old Mesinger seat is 50% more comfortable with the springs and I have that perfect reach, I still cant say until and hour long ride with my bony butt, but the fact that I customized it, and it was the specd seat to begin with.....shes the one! haha
