Do you have any ridges near by? A shot of it on the crest of a ridge with blue sky in the background would be nice. Sort of like this one I found online...

I think that The grassy looks more clear as stated, but the tree looks more like the natural environment you'd find a mountain bike in. Torn

I can see your point on rocky pics.
 
I like the tree background for exactly the same reason. I'm still exploring options. Thanks for the feedback!

I was just about to suggest this comp
 
I tried a couple 'open air' shots, but the reflective quality of the raw aluminum picked up too much light. Even on a cloudy day it just thinned out the lines of the main frame too much.
 
Gorgeous day in the northland! Got the HawthRodne out for a spin. 1960 Hawthorne frame, original wheels painted vintage white for giant white wall look. Repop Monark fork, hairpin saddle, big ring 48t lazy heart, 26 x 3.0 Duros, done up in primer grey.

It's the annual OddJob Award creation day! It sure was nice having a geared Build Off bike to make the 10 mile trek (bike pun intended) to FedEx / Kinkos and back to print off this years' awards!
