Thick Brick on a 24" Wheel

I'm kicking around the idea of replacing my rear wheel with a 24", with a Thick Brick tire. I just want to make sure that it will fit. What is the actual width of the tire, frame clearance wise? I would be putting it on a late 90s Schwinn Cruiser Deluxe 7. I believe it the same frame as the 90s reissue Phantom. I do know my frame was made in the states.
