Latest progress on the Huffy Dragster XL. I put the taller sissy bar on it and striped the fenders to match the guard. This has really become one my favorite to ride bikes!

I painted it House of Kolor Voodoo Violent for her.

My 2020-2021 RRBMBBO entry - the Rollfastback.
The shape of this frame reminded me of the Schwinn Fastback, so I built myself a jumbo version.

One of my recent finds - 1968 24” Sears Spyder 5 speed. I’ve wanted one of these forever, so I’m so happy to find it. I did a quick cleanup on it, but I’m going to do full tear down and clean up on it this spring.

I picked this ‘74 Schwinn Fastback 5 speed up at the same time I got the Spyder. It’s Sunset Orange, which I understand is a fairly rare color. I plan on finding some fenders and correct tires for it eventually.

My brother bought some property and found this cleaning up. It’s a ‘46 Westfield. It has some crazy bars on it. I threw a set of rims with some nice vintage Lightning Darts on it. I’m not sure what I’ll eventually do with it.

That's a good project to have right there! Reminds me of the one that I had (and then regretfully traded) that made me fall in love with these Murrays!

My first bike was that frame in a greenish/gold metal flake color. Mine was a Swinger from J C Penny. Must have been about '68. I rode that bike all over my Tampa, FL neighborhood. The chain guard was one of my favorite features on it. Nice project.

Though I love all the Eliminator style bikes, oddly enough, I tend to be drawn to the store brands, like the JCP Swinger, Gambles Sidewinder, WF Buzz Bike, Sportcrest Qualifier, the early Sears Screamers or the Otasco Cyclones. I think my favorite might be the Hiawatha Cycovator - for the name alone!

The “Rat Pilot” was my first rat bike, given to me by a friend who has passed away. He was into cars (and loved rat rods) and found it In the woods and knew I liked old bikes. He told me when he gave it to me “You should throw some red rims and whitewalls on it and hang it on the wall!” That’s pretty much what I did. Western Flyer Jet Mutt. This bike was cobbled to together from at least 8 different bikes. I pieced to together from a bunch of patina’d red bikes and parts and it just worked. This is the first rusty bike I’ve ever clear coated, and I like the result.

I used automotive clear coat. I wet sanded it and cleared it 3 different times to get a nice slick look.
