Lots to be said for bike colours here dominating the posting opportunities!

How about those lesser seen YELLOW bikes?!

My late Schwinn Heavy Duti. First pic in original condition bought from the original owner. I modified it with 3 piece cranks, wheels from a 2018 wtp avenger (rear wheel relaced with a 7 speed nexus) and k-rads. Rides really well. Very comfortable frame for big riders. The stainless guards and oversize alloy phantom stem are pretty cool too. Pretty decent quality for a late model Schwinn. The original alloy rims with 12 gauge stainless spokes are now on my 51 panther and still run true.

When rescued from the curb, this Schwinn Fair Lady was campus green. Two sons used it in their early riding days. Then their little sister had dad paint it Pepto Bismol pink with her name (and hearts) on the chain guard in purple. Then eldest son went to NYU and wanted a bike to cruise around the East Village; yellow was the color selected for that activity. It's still here and sometimes a daughter-in-law rides it when she is visiting.

Yellow bikes are pretty rare, same goes for the green and purple bikes. The 60-70's Schwinn's were the bomb for bike paint job's.

Maybe I'll do a schweet Metal-Flake Yellow Build-off next year?
