At my better half’s parents in another town, mother in law loves dump runs as much as I do (grew up poor in a rural area, only place to find parts to replace the ones I was always breaking😂) This dump let’s you pick and I had told her I was looking for bike stuff among other things. As I’m finding treasures that I’ll be throwing out because I never needed them in the first place, she yells at me from across the yard. Since she had called me a few times for some pretty underwhelming bikes (trashed 4 year old department store mountain bikes😤) I picked my way towards her instead of running like I should have.

Behold! This mostly complete 60’s era (according to a questionable chart on a deserted forum) puke green CCM Cheetah eh?!

This thing kind of got me hot and heavy (and sent me on a wild goose chase for a few days🧐)

Ignoring all the red flags and obvious evidence to the contrary I thought I might have a FrankenSchwinn. Took a day to find the serial number as it wasn’t in the usual Schwinn locations🚩
When I found this:

And typed it into this:

I got this:

🥳🍾🎉👯‍♀️
So I get to investigating (the real reason I was so stoked, I care more about the mystery more than finding an actual treasure) and just as I was about to come to you fine folks for insight into the various parts (likely making an amateur out of myself) I discover the truth while investigating the rim stamp.

So here she is in all her spiderwebbed, summer sunfaded, north Canadian winterized glory!

So I’m not sure what to do with it 🤔I’m open to suggestions🤨 Was going to make a seat for my daughters old school project out of a skateboard because the banana seat from the modern donor bike is too small for the Lowrider frame we are using

So the seat/sissy bar/reflector may be a good fit and a legit retro touch for her project.
I have a couple of cranbrook style frames that have been waiting for some donor parts.
Anybody know how hard it is to rebuild a shimano 3speed? And why they put a panther 3 decal on the chain guard? And why do I keep dragging home more projects?
Maybe Since the frames a bit gnarly I’ll just hoon it until it breaks? You know I’m gonna send it!

This Panther bike is WAAAAY COOOL!!! Even the Dunlop Gold Seal tires look to be in good ride able condition... As far as the seat goes you could maybe find a longer seat as the one you have appears to be rather short.. The Panther 3 decal is for the 3 speed version of which you have.. I'd fix it up and ride the wheels off it.. Shimano hubs can be tricky to redoo, so maybe go on u tube and see what's what.. Good luck... RaToN.... Razin...
