I noticed that with the flush mount option that the speed hole pattern would not sync up between the speed rail and speed bumper. So i tested this protruding mount option. It may look fine without the decking filler. If i need the filler I can make that with my trusty roof flashing.

I love the speed hole shadows on the brick

I hadn't even noticed that. That attention to detail is why your bikes turn out so good.

I didn't notice it to start with. It was only after look closer to the hole pattern that I had traced on the mockup paper piece.

I am moving forward with making the protruding speed bumper. If I don't like it, i can always shorten the ends and make it flush.

I'm starting to get the hang of this just using my flatnose and needlenose pliers.

Shed a little light on it. I'm very happy with the bumper.

Did a simple foil tape mockup of what a filler piece would do. Both look good to me. I don't think the difference is worth the effort. I actually like it without the filler better.

Chainguard time.

First up is my JetFlow guard. Kinda fits the vibe, but doesn't fit the bike so well.

Next up is this prewar Snyder guard. Definitely has the speedhole action. Matches the frame patina if I went that route

I had mocked up both of those guards when @Dr. Tankenstein was over a week or so ago.

I had forgotten about this holey beauty.

Holey Chainguard Ratman!

Exploring seat options. Early on, my friend Chris asked me why i wasn't using the checkered saddle from Speed Demon.

Ok, love the last chainguard, and prefer the moon eyes to the checkered seat (ties in the yellow on the engine). Also, please sell me the checkered seat. I collect Evans Colson seats, and I have the red checker, the blue checker, the black/white striped, and the chevron jets, I am missing the black checker, and the boys blue checker (there is possibly a green checker as well).

P.s. this has nothing to do with my seat preference on your build (all seriousness), I really do prefer the yellow seat.
