i find this kinda thing all the time. That is the type ad that really gets me! I can handle when someone mistakenly misjudges the year, but all that rhetoric about it being in the family for years and that it has been restored is just blatant lying.![]()
We have the same posting here, only it is someone else! I finally text messaged them some Giant made schwinn information, the price came down from $400 to $200i find this kinda thing all the time.
my biggest pet peeve is when people take brats bikes and try to pass them off as sting rays.
that's when i call them out and offer them a ridiculously low price.
funny they want 200 for that bike when you can get them brand new for i think 165 or so if even that high.
craigslist is really a breeding ground for some of the biggest idiots i have ever seen
i should know im a Craigslist poster lol.
Sean.

For a 7 speed with derailleur the MSRP is somewhere between those two numbers. $500 MSRP is more in line for an internal 7 or a 21 speed. Is this bike really worth this much or is it in the eye of the beholder?

I think your poster posts 1980s Raleighs here as 1940s era.......
What is even more appalling is how much people try to cutt me with their attempt at an offer!
-$400 -means offer $200!
Yeah we get that here alot, Giant Schwinns listed as 1950s vintage for $300It's one thing to ask $400 though for a bike that really is rare and collectable and another to ask it for something that's just kind of old. The guy asking $400 for a pre-war tank bike or a De Rosa actually has something good to sell. The guy asking $400 for a fixed gear Varsity or $200 for a Volkscycle is just trying to find a sucker.
Somebody here really ought to buy this one. This is truly one of a kind and the price is right. I can only imagine the build time involved. It does appear to be 4wd. It also appears to be about the most impractical thing I've seen in my life, but I want it anyway.

My wife has emphatically told me "NO!" and it's too big for me to store inside. If you do buy it let me come by and get a good look at it.
