Ah in that case maybe the seat is fine where it is. I can't get comfortable with the racer crouch as well. The lowest i can do is handlebars level with the seat.
I just flipped the bars yesterday and it's looking sweet, I haven't put the grips back on yet to test that configuration for comfort for a couple of days before I decide on a final setup. However, I think I will have to use you suggestion about the laid back seat post as the bars are now hitting my knees when I do sharp turns, haha. Thanks again for the suggestion bro! Will post pics as soon :)

So, I took this baby on the road yesterday to test the new setup of the bars. It was quite comfortable and I think I'm gonna settle for it...for now hahaha. I went to the Manila post office and then the walled city of Intramuros. Here are some photos :)

I like your style! The new truss forks look great too.
Welcome to RRB!

:cool2:You might (if you haven't already):39: try the bar flipped up, but tilted back 30-40 deg. with the stem down low.

I tried it up in my second version, but couldn't lower the stem because of the truss rods and I wanted to keep those. It was a little too massive/bulky for me in that configuration, but was comfortable. Maybe in the future... :39:

Looking good, not many cruisers over here. Maybe we can meet up and do a ride sometime.
Oh I'd love that, maybe in our next trip to Subic or when you're in Manila. I also heard there's a club here in Manila that rides on Sundays along Manila Bay/Roxas Boulevard. I'll try to catch them this weekend :)

Looks good! A layback seat post will make it more comfortable and even better looking though...

Luke.

I totally agree Luke, it would be more comfortable. However, finding the right sized lay back post is not as easy here in the Philippines our local shops don't have them or if they do it's too small. Gotta find a good steelworks shop and have one fabricated soon :)

Looking good!

I think you need to raise the seat up and back. My knees hurt when I ride too low for a period of time. The right height is where your knees are just slightly bent with the pedal all the way down. That also makes it the most efficient but usually you can't put your foot down without getting off the seat. That's where the laid back seat post can really be the best thing. You can stretch out and still put your foot down when you stop. The shop I found near here in Kalaklan really helps out on my folder.

When I get my Schwinn frame later, they will weld it back together and I'll need a laid back stem also.

Thank you Wildcat, those are good points. I certainly would raise it once I get the laid back post, at 41 years old my knee joints are not what they used to be, hehehe. Btw, if you're visiting Manila from Subic you may want to check out this place I bet you'd love it :)

That's a great looking bike, even better that it was built on a budget. Some great scenery in the pics too. Think I too would go for a layback post & maybe flip the bars the other way and tilt them back a little.
