    Help Identify a Rollfast

Wildcat and Deorman, I agree with you both as far as late 50's early 60's. Can't agree with 67 or 77. Bike styles and metal works had changed by then. I have been able to investigate that rollfast bikes were a HP Snyder variety and a similar serial number higher than mine was dated 56'...

    Help Identify a Rollfast

I just purchased a girls Rollfast bicycle model B275662. It is a 26" tank bike. If anyone out there can help me identify the year of the bike with that serial number, it would help me out. Judging by other serial numbers I have come across, I date it 53'-55' maybe??Thanks Alex

Axsepul, Thanks for the comment. I love this bike and have been riding it and it definitely is a conversation piece. I am not going to part it out. If and when I do decide on selling it, it will be as a complete bike. I do not believe it to be re-badged. Alex

    Help Identify this Bel Air

This may be the challenge of the day as I have been unable to find a serial number on this bike. Built it for my daughter Xmas 2009. Prior to restore/rebuild, the only identifying mark on it was the chain guard that read "BelAir". Aside from that, I can't seem to locate a number on it...

    Help Identify this Higgins

This bike I rebuilt about two years ago. Again, it was a travesty the condition of it when I found it. The frame, crank, chain guard and wheels were about all I could salvage. Fenders, handlebars, grips, seat, tires, chain and pedals are all new. It had a Higgins emblem on it that could not be...

    Help Identify this Seneca

This green beauty, is another recent restore that I have little information on. The chain guard said "Seneca" on it prior to restore. The bike was an auction find in really bad condition. After a good thorough sand blast, I was able to salvage almost everything with the exception of the...

    39' Colson

Here is my 39' Colson I recently finished. Everything is original with the exception of the handlebars, grips, pedals and tires and front forks. I have the original fenders but they were in really bad shape. Took me a while to find info on this bike! $30 find!

RMS37, You are a pool of vast knowledge! Thanks so much for all of that information. I replaced the grips yesterday afternoon with the torpedo ones due to the originals basically falling apart. Considering I only paid $65 for the bike, I think I found a gem in the rough. I am not going to...

rms37, Thanks again for the info. Curious, which parts aside from the crank do you think are not original? What is the collet seat binder? IN comparing pictures, The crank and pedals look identical. The seat bracket is "L"shaped similar to the one on ebay as well. Alex

RMS37, Wow, thanks for the information. I have been restoring old cruiser bikes for the last couple of years and think I may have hit the jackpot with this find. I got a heck of a steal for this today as you see it with the exception of a new rear tire I placed on it this afternoon due to the...

I am new here and am in need of some guidance. Today I purchased a Ward Hawthorne bicycle which I believe is a 1940 model. I am not sure how to decipher the serial number though to really know what it is. The serial number reads F12400G i believe. It has all of the prewar indicators such as...
