13 mile ride today, now sipping IPA's. Rode nice and no flats!

Okay good deal. Picked it up earlier today, for 80 bucks off of Facebook marketplace. I happened to catch it in the first hour, 29 minutes to be exact. It cleaned up VERY well, and still has the mold flashing on the middle of the tire tread. Hardly ridden at all. This is the before dusty pic.

I noticed the new models have fenders. I cannot remember if they always had fenders? This is 24x3 tires front and rear. 3 speed, no front brake, and normal fork not triple tree.

Got some 3/8" to 14mm washers, and put a 1.5 Pasela tourguard on another front wheel. MUCH better. One side of the original wheel wasn't even tightened, probably from the bike shop.

Got to get some 14mm to 3/8's axle adaptor washers though.

I will probably use a 1.5 tire or maybe a 1.75. With the smaller size, and a smooth tread, it might not even rub at all.

NICE!! It worked!! With the angle of my foot on the pedals, the tread just barely grazed the bottom of my toe. There was no side interference, only the bottom of the shoe. I used a QR mtb wheel just to try it. I can live with a little rub, if it means that 20 inch is gone! It looks TEN times...

The lady said they priced it so low to begin with, since the rear tire was flat... I brought it home, pulled the piece of metal out of the tire, replaced the tube, and voila. I think I will just go around to pawn shops letting the air out of tires for a discount, haha! Nah, it was strange I...

Will I run into toe overlap (pedals hitting front tire) if I put a larger front wheel on this bike? When these first came out I was thinking they were pretty cool, but the 20 inch front wheel was a huge fail in my book. The bottom line of the frame isn't level, which should have been a no go...

Worksman is having the same problem apparently. It kind of looks like they are using the silver horizontal dropout washer, which ends up with the same problem, shifting assembly pointing at the sky. http://www.worksmancycles.com/shopsite_sc/store/html/media/2014/redfolder.jpg

Well, with all of the bikes built here, many of which based on Worksman frames, I guess no one has ever done this. Not interested in hearing any more about three speeds, just trying to get my shifting assembly to point straight ahead. Also if the shifting assembly was pointed straight ahead...

I may modify the dropouts if all else fails. I would cut these off, cut out a set of my own, then mig weld them in.

Nah, I just built the wheel with the hub in it. I refuse to give up now. Not my first 7 speed setup either, just the first with these odd dropouts. I also view most 3 speeds as two speeds. Most of the older ones require almost superhuman endurance to sustain 3rd gear for any length of time...

My dropouts look about the same angle as the Schwinn but flipped 180 degrees. They have keyed washers to fit a horizontal, but not a down slanted.

Ive read all that and none of it applies to a rear facing slanted dropout. There are multiple keyed washers available but I'd rather not buy 5-6 sets only to find none of them fit. The brake arm is movable to a degree(no pun intended, lol) but the shifting mechanism will only fit where the...
