Cool bike. I am building my first bike and it so happens to be a breeze for my wife as well. Seems like a great bike. I found mine in the trash What size tires are on there now? Will 1.95s fit? I haven't tried but these old schwinns seem like they didn't leave alot of room.

Try the glossy clear coat in a few layers and then wet sand the parts you want flat with 800 maybe. Might work. Just a thought not that I have ever done it.

Thanx for all the GREAT info. I find it quite hard to get a thin coat with rattle cans. I think maybe some more self control I might be able to get thinner coats. I get real excited when painting so maybe I rushed things. As far as the wheel goes it wasn't chrome. Nicholas

I have found that if there is any humidity in the air the primer, though sandable takes awhile to dry. I am not talking about a few hours i am taalking a few days.
