i have the exact same bike and found the cranks to be very short so I fitted a crank from a bmx it made it a lot more comfortable for an adult to ride

I built a tall bike the other day using 2 malvern star mountain bikes, very ratty though the whole thing cost $2 the bikes were $1 each at a garage sale loads of fun though

I'm an aussie as well (casino nsw) if it has 22" wheels then tires are abit hard to get
ive got 3 similar bikes I bought one just for a 22" tube they ride very nice mine have 3 speed hubs

I was thinking of using the hub and crank out of a Huffy Green machine and fitting it into a 28
' wheel the rest of the frame should be pretty simple

I was at our local show yesterday and one of the clowns was riding a small penny farthing bike with maybe a 28" front wheel and 12" back wheel he said he bought it a few years ago made in china
has anyone made their own? or can you buy the front wheel witht the pedals attached or make your own...

I got very lucky I picked up 2 at our local dump for $2 one had been run over you cant beat the price it needs a larger back sprocket as its hard to pedal with the short cranks
