hi my name is marcel I'm from casino australia I'm 39 ive just recently got back into riding I used to ride everywhere as a kid but then I got my motorcycle license when I was 17 and that was it. I mainly got back into it for exercise but its quite addictive
I bought 5 bikes in the last week 2 at the dump for $2 each 3 at the side of the road for $15 and the other 2 at garage sales.
I love going to garage sales or the dump and picking up a bargain. my wife often says I come home with more stuff than I take there.
I'm quite jealous of the cool frames you guys have in america over here its mainly mountain bikes
I found this site as I'm a member of an australian vw site and one of the members showed off a picture of his build
I'm slowly trawling through all the entries and ahving a ball

Too bad you live so far away - even the guys in Florida & on the west coast complain because of the overabundance of old bikes & frames from the midwest where I'm at up through the north east. Everyday can be Christmas. Just last week I picked up a 1950 Roadmaster girls bike with a shockmaster springer front end for $40 sitting on the end of someone's driveway 4 blocks from home. Now that's what I call handy. It helps to drive a van around everywhere I go in case of a "bike emergency". You never know when you're going to have to load up an old classic & haul it away for someone. Welcome & HAPPY HUNTING!!!

I'm hearing you there marcel. Certainly not a huge amount of classic bikes going about around here. Maybe it's the weather, lack of space or just the culture. But you certainly don't find them lying at the end of someone's drive.
