By standard do you mean for BMX/mountain bikes?
Yes. The description doesn’t mention anything about needing special spokes. Maybe someone else has ran into your issue. Maybe a picture would help. Sometimes I use a hammer and a punch to set the heads of the spoke firmly. But I do this after the wheel is laced and tensioned.

I have seen the tapping of spokes to get them to sit correctly before but these seemed way to off. I will post a pic of my issue in a little bit.
