I am thinking about using one of these:

I am not sure which yet - the red Romet is at the cheap end of the market while the white Amsterdam is a decent mid-range frame.

I have a ton of mowing to do and the front floor in the cottage to fix, but we will see how it goes.

That Gooseneck frame has potential, I love it!

Q:

I know the buildoff starts in 6 days. But I decided to look what parts to use and made a 10-minute mockup. I will dismantle it, 'gone in 60 seconds' since I want to cut the frame in pieces.
The reason I did this, is to get excited and have an idea and keep my eyes peeled for fitting parts in de dumpster.

Hopefully people and the admins don't have issues with that. Repeat: I will start with the frame completely disassembled and will cut a lot of tubes off when I use this.

I can share a picture if that is ok.

It sounds like you are talking about a Class 2 build, and if you are cutting the frame up after, meaning that you will be showing a "what I am starting with" mock up; I don't see anything wrong with that. That's my .02.

This might be a little out there for some if you weren't around or didn't have access to 'Welcome Back Kotter', a diverse and inclusive TV show that aired in the late '70s.

Clue #2 to what I am building for BO19...I call it the 'Bike Shadow - aka Horshack Test'.

Anybody? Horshack?

The Fuji would score way less points on the ratrod scale, but would still be a cool bike. And I don’t have to worry about matching brakes with rims. Or respacing dropouts.
I'll be the oddball opinion: although the Fuji will score less "cool" points with the voting crowd, for your end purpose, it's hard to beat the practicalities of an ATB. That lugged frame looks great for a kid to do everything on. The rack/bar combo would only accentuate the functionality

You are completely right, thank you.

This is where I will probably start with:

If you didn't take pictures of your mock up, or don't intend to show any pictures you may have taken, it's irrelevant.
Before you asked about it, you were the only one who knew.

Epstein's mother thinks it's a prewar motobike with a longspring saddle, chunky rack, and dropstand.

You've got me very intrigued!

So far my guess is leaning toward a TOC Pope Columbia or possibly an Elgin Motorbike but I haven't ruled anything out. Either way I'm thinking 1920's. Looking forward to the next clue!

They're nice. Make sure to keep it oiled in a few places like the height screw and where the crank shaft passed through it or it'll get worn out super quickly. swagoffroad.com has a ton of aftermarket pieces for them that make life way easier and more accurate

Tubing bender? I sense some vintage-y mod 'Pilot' frames coming! (I think Pilot might already be a bike company name, but it would be perfect for you!)
😁BO14
But yes, hoping to do something swoopy and/or classic lines.
