Another new guy here, found this place from the BMX museum site! I go by Treerat-sniper there & a few other sites. Just an old BMX'r here (ABA in the 80's). Mostly into 24-26" cruisers now, the 20" bikes are too hard on the ol' knees. Started out with a purple Stingray, then a Huffy Pro-Thunder, then a Jamis Laser (still have that f/f)! Currently my favorite ride is a Redline PL-26 & have restored another 24" RL sig series. In my old age, I've taken a liking to klunkers & retro bikes. Spent 20+ years in the motorcycle/powersports business, (everything from a tech/parts/service manager to a product specialist for a retail mc catalog company). My wife is one of the Ragbrai nuts so I have to do some road/paved trail riding with her.

Also achild of 1980's BMX. WWBA and ABA both in New Jersey. Knees are also a thing now and rail trails are favorite spots to ride, along with a few sections of the revolutions 'Patriots Path'.

Indeed! I remember trying a buddy's cruiser back in about 87-88, I remember thinking I would always ride a 20"...now I can't imagine riding anything smaller than 24"! :21:

Funny, I can find myself on 20 inches and still feel at home (just sore) but on 24, I feel oversized for the mode of transportation below!
