This thing is for sale relatively closely. It's got a lot of good original parts. Wrong fenders. Repainted. Missing head lights and rack. I still like it a lot. Do I need to jump on it for $300? I don't really have time but it's really cool.

I would try for $200 but the springer fork alone goes for around $150. If that seat was in slightly better shape, I'd buy it off you to offset the cost. I don't know the whole thing is worth $300 though (as is).
Yeah, that seat is really cool, it's really too bad it's in poor condition. If I remember right you collect those, right? I think @kingfish254 does too.

The answer to your question is yes. Actually those forks go for over 300 by themselves. I paid $250 for my current fork and felt I got a good deal.

Doing the parts value math on that bike and I see $600+ sitting there.
The other thing with those Evanaction forks is that they rarely come up for sale, so you may never see another one.
Awesome, thank you. I was thinking there was probably enough value there since it has the forks, tank and chainguard. I'd really like to have the headlights and rack too but maybe they'll turn up eventually. It's really cool. I might have to take a drive on Saturday.

That same bike shows up on other selling sites too, so I would guess it isn't legit. Sounds fishy.

Just don't send any advance money. Only cash in hand face to face with the bike.

I saw that thread on the CABE earlier and was wondering if the FB add was also a scam. $450 2 years ago and it's still for sale? Seems like a scam. Bummer.

I'm not FB friends with him, but we share 109 friends. His other posts look legit in the bike life world.
It could be that he is the current true owner of the bike. The $425 post is a scam where some non-owner stole pics of the bike and created their own phony ad for that bike in the past. This has happened to me before where scammers will advertise photos of my rentals units at silly cheap prices and try and get people to send them a deposit.
Like I said, just make sure to not send any upfront "deposit" money and only give cash face to face with the bike in hand.
Also if you click on his "sellers details" from the FB listing, then you can see his other listings. Some of them are in the same building/backdrop and his posting for the Evans Olympic.
