I've only had two bikes with real skiptooth chains, my 42 Hawthorne and my 47 CWC. One of the links was a masterlink, but not like the standard kind. it was very similar to a regular link. I wonder how it stayed on, but I never used that chain much, I changed the drivetrain over to a standard chain on my Hawthorne and didn't remove the chain from the CWC.

I'd have to look closely at your chain to see if it's the same. Other members here have more experience with the skiptooth chains than I do.

Does it need to come off? It looks like a little oil and air and you're set!

It will unfortunately it needs to soak its pretty stiff. It was used as yard art. So some of the bike is pretty stiff

what do I have here
Had fun going to get it with you too. Next time we head out to the boonies, we should bring the bikes, another thing we found was at least half a dozen potential trails to explore. It's pretty funny, on the ride there, Ingola couldn't stop looking out the window for future rides. Once we had that DX loaded though, I don't think he looked outside the vehicle once, head was on backwards, looking at his new baby
