I really like that Headbadge! Very cool! Did you drill holes in the head tube to mount it, or double sided tape/etc. Asking for a friend...
Thanks! It's the original badge to the frame. However, I replaced the screws. The originals are good, but I wanted to be able to tighten it down without issue, so ***tips and tricks alert*** I use cassette tape screws. They are the exact size of headbadge screws.

As I prepare for riding, I realized I forgot to go over pedal options/decisions.

A HUGE shout-out to @OddJob for the pedal selection. Before he reached out, I was working with these, and one pair I was considering robbing from a 20" I have in the wings.

I scored 3 options from @OddJob

1. These were my first consideration for my build. I really like the unconventional shape, and the brushed aluminum look.

2. These were plan 'B' if the first pair didn't quite work. I like that these fit in with the period, and would mesh well with the overall aesthetic.

3. Then we have these. These are incredible, and honestly, these will be for a future project. The axle is tweaked on one side, but these are worth the effort to make them right 😍

@OddJob Thank you again!

4. These are the pedals I was robbing from a 20" Rollfast. They aren't original, but fit the vibe of a complete bike, so I was hesitant.

It was a pretty quick decision once I tried them all. The 2 sets I had wanted to use initially just look too small on the bike. Functionally, there was no issue, but the proportions were off.

It's such a small difference, but the Rollfast pedals are just enough larger to match the proportions.

So I am actually going to use the '60s pedals from @OddJob On the Rollfast, as they are much closer to the original pedal style. I'll save the modern pedals for my next 20" custom.

It all worked out in the end, but it's hard for me to decide on certain things without seeing them in place. Other things I'm able to conceptualize and visualize in my minds eye...it's a weird paradox.

The details are really start to come together now!

Because this wrench is open on both ends, I tucked a rubber washer in between the teeth, then sandwiched it between two plate washers. This keeps everything snug and secure and eliminates a lot of vibration.

So I'm pondering another option, which is to mount two brackets horizontally, with the mounting point overlapped.

This would tuck it in a bit closer (without covering the badge) and make it look less like an Assassin-Droid leg. 🤣

Ok. We're getting to a triage point.

Vital:

- Re-attach microphone screen to handlebar (one side done)
- Mount headlight (fabricate bracket)
- Finish mounting-bracket on bee
- Film ride video and shoot final pics

If I'm able:

- Incorporate electrical inside bee
- Incorporate Buddha charms in some way?
- Finish editing Schwinn font for custom decal?

That’s a fair amount for just a few days but the vital should be achievable.

Me: "When will it stop raining?"

Nature: "Monsoon."

I have never begrudged rain. I'm from Colorado, originally, which is a desert a mile closer to the Sun. I welcome rain, AND I'm so happy I did paint on the front end of the build-off.

@kingfish254 how are things on your side of Georgia? Atlanta is drowning 🤣
