11 months after purchasing and disassembling this Electra cruiser, I finally finished today. I've just had far too little time over the last few months, I couldn't even take part in the monthly protest rides, @SwissGuy must already be thinking what's wrong with me....
The only modification to frame and fork was the removal of the brake cable eyelets on the frame and the mounts for the fenders on the dropouts front and rear. I wanted it to be as clean as possible. First I initially wanted to paint the bike matt black, but, nah, that's actually boring. It took me a while to decide on curry/grey. And for a long time I couldn't decide which design I wanted for the second color, the grey. I wanted it to look european somehow. When I came up with a cool name for the bike, THE SQUARE ONE, the decision was more easy.
Unfortunately, I'm not the type of guy to think about taking photos while building. So only a few pics of the unfinished bike, but more of my maiden voyage today. The only thing i would like to change are the pedals. I couldn't find any vintage style pedals with a small thread yet...
Done! Go for a ride.....
Hope you guys like it, I think it's super duper and the bike rides extremely well.
So now it's time to tidy up the apartment...
