So I think this project is a go. I just picked up this ‘51 Raleigh Sports project for $50. I think I’m going to use my better parts to ‘restore’ this one and use the other parts to build the step thru project. Should be fun.

I had another thought. If you guys want to do a separate Raleigh step thru build off, I'll hold this one and build my Colson step thru klunker for this build off. What do you guys think?

I hate to make a suggestion and then back out but I found out that my son and his girlfriend/fiancee/whatever will be visiting from California during the holidays and my wife just handed me a huge "honey do" list. Sorry guys......
BTW, I dont know how it happened, but I seem to have collected a boat load of Raleigh bikes: an International w/ some Campy parts, a Raleigh Sport step thru, and a cool (to me) Robin Hood made by Raleigh, (and I think a Raleigh bare frame). Perhaps a Brit Build some other time.
If you 2 really want to do a side build, I'll "pony up" and join, It'll just make things tight before the holidays...............peace

It could be any time. I can't imagine having time to do an additional build before the holidays either.

I could do it. After the holidays is fine with me too. I would most likely do more of a restoration than a crazy rat, but we’ll see. I have two Raleigh step thrus and someone recently offered me a third.
After holidays would be best for me to
Colson for sure unless someone went to great lengths to copy the dropouts.
