Need to get some paint. Does anyone have experience, is there a big difference between Tremclad Rust Paint and Professional High Performance Rust Enamel? Is one easier, more forgiving, smoother coverage? I don't plan on using separate primer, and prep work will be lazy.

If there's another kind you recommend, lemme know. I'm useless when it comes to paint

I would stay with enamels. The brand is not here in the Midwest us. Seems pricey for black. All in one paints spray heavy so more distance from the part and light strokes. They build quick. ✌🏻

Umm… “only until you’re old enough to shave, son.” If you’re under 10 or over 30, you understand, else, ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ . Cheesy laughs are still good for the soul. 😄
Dad jokes are sad jokes.

My dad was a 6th grade school teacher. He had some fantastic "6th Grade Humor" that
would make us cringe. God, I miss him. Just gimme one bad knock knock joke and I'll be
fine again for a few years.

When I started pulling off stickers, there was a certain therapeutic aspect, like picking off scabs.

Matti? If you're picking off scabs with a heat gun you're a better man than I.

Yeah I spent more time with the stickers. Still didn't get them all off. It's not painting I hate, it's the prep work. If I would have left it as is, I'd be done by now, but I keep putting it off because I'm hating the process.
Therefore, change of direction. I'm not painting, it is going to get a tape bomb instead. We'll see what kind of fun stuff I can find. It's a tiny bike, maybe see how far I can make an automotive "carbon fiber" sticker pack go

Things are definitely happening over here. The project is certainly not dead in the water.

Applied 3 quick coats of apathy. Didn't even clean it or remove all the sticker remnants, just blasted right over it all.
Dad joke: why do they call primer the musical paint? Because it's DGAFGrey

Bahahaha attention to detail is at usual levels. I thought the deadline was end of October
"The Build Off will begin at 12 am North American Central Time on Sept 1, 2024 and Final finished bike photos must be posted in the “Finished Bikes” thread by 12 noon North American Central Time on Nov 30, 2024"

Plenty of time 👍
Thanx Pondo, I needed that. "Plenty of time"...
to procrastinate
