Soaked up more Vitamin D on the dirt jumper on a gorgeous day! It was so clear that a friend riding trails near the Wyoming border could see Pikes Peak!
Had to swing by the LBS to pick up the missing link to finish my GT build on the way to Superior to soak up as much Vitamin D, wellness & blessings as possible on my Redline.
Kinda busy with folks enjoying perfect weather but pretty much had the pump track to myself.
Wish I had bought the 360° camera attachment for my phone as there was intermittent cloud rings surrounding us overhead.
One of the random kids came over to tell me how good he's been and could I please bring him a car for Christmas! Still learning the joys of having a beard.....
Got a quick test ride after assembling my '91 GT Talera conversion for pump track before meeting friends for an Opeth concert last night. This one will be referred to as PRPPL NRPPL
THAT IS SO RAD!!!
I've always thought GTs in the smaller size would make killer BMXs with the sloping top tube. It's just natural, in their bloodlines. Absolutely love the full splatter paint job too. I want to ride that to the playground and lay down some serious skids
I got to take advantage of more perfect weather before it gets more seasonal by taking it for test & tune with the friend that got me hooked on pump tracks & inspiration for the build!!
First & foremost, it wants to go fast!!! But in a totally chill manner as apposed to my Redline that is more aggressive. I didn't feel any flex at all. Getting weightless over big rollers makes them disappear. Stay centered & the wheels land in the perfect spot on the back side transition to launch forward. Free speed with no effort!! Absolutely enamored with the PRPPL NRPPL out of the gate & look forward to planned Refinements!!
