Put etching primer on the frame and fork legs today.
Freshened up the wheels so I can rebuild them and test the wheel set. I don't want to get deep into this project only to discover the wheel set is no good.
Tire had a flat spot from years of no air. The clamp on the sidewall pushes it back out round. I'm hoping the Florida sun will reset the tire closer to true.

The sunshine and clamping returned the tires to round. I don't feel bad about investing time and resources in the rest of the bike now. The tires have cracks but I've seen worse.

I had to use a sander to remove some of the heavy rust from the crank and chain ring chrome. After masking a new Iron Cross I sprayed them, etching primer, primer, color coat and finally clear.
Very cool bike and progress! Wow.
Assembled it all today. Was surprised to learn it is comfortable for a 6' adult to ride. KJV Tom told me it would be. I should have listened.
