Exactly this. The original mtbs were based on cruisers, then things got more extreme. Stumpjumper represents that, Rockhopper is still basically a tough cruiser. More useful day to day than Stumpjumper, and higher quality all around than Hardrock.

Fuji folding mountain bike ss conversion.
~30 today. No wind so it's not too bad out. River should be frozen over, 2 feet of snow on the ground and a lot colder.

Tim A riding across the "Bridge of Lions" in Czech Village Cedar Rapids Iowa.

I got to ride it once. The apes are about 7' above the pavement. I could barely reach them standing next to it. I steered by holding the bars mid way up. 27" front wheel. Photo from 2011.
