    Forgotten Dahon

The front wheel is ready for truing. The rear still needs spokes and a hub. I have a new set of adjustable bars I got for a front wheel drive project, but they weigh the same as the original so I'll stay with the Dahon bars. The front wheel drive may happen on a build later. I sanded down...

    Possible 1937 Hawthorne

The pic didn't come through, this is where the date will be:

    Possible 1937 Hawthorne

"F" is 1919, 1937, or 1950. Your bike looks to be a 1937 going by all the features it has. Made in Michigan City, Indiana by Snyder. If it is a Hawthorne, that chain guard was used on 30's Hawthornes. Here's a 34 Hawthorne: That bike would be a contender in the step thru build off coming up...

    ** The next build off 2024 **

Here's some inspiration, most of these bikes are step thru: https://www.welovecycling.com/wide/2016/09/29/retro-photo-gallery-20-beautiful-1950s-hollywood-actresses-riding-bikes/

    Forgotten Dahon

After the test ride, I disassembled it, except for the big hinge. The hinge pin looks like it was pressed in, so I'll leave it be. It works fine so I'll paint around it. I found the cranks to be very heavy. It's a 52 tooth chain wheel but I'll change it out with a 47 alloy set and have a smaller...

The cap on the fork and the shape of the dropouts are indicators of Monark.

Bike from the Dead's Freshly-Exhumed Finds (Everything I've dug up since 6/15/21)

The Typhoon frame would work great on a muscle bike build.

    ** The next build off 2024 **

That was where the Monark plate was attached. That would have the serial number.

MOD is 1939 on my list. Is the Typhoon a 24"?

    1950 Craigslist Schwinn

Looks like someone started with a bare frame and was going to make a klunker with those BMX style forks and 3 piece crank conversion. Only the bare frame is 1950. The frame looks nice and straight but half the asking price is what I would expect. If you had to buy wheels and everything to make...

Your CWC looks good. Maybe a 1946 bike. The serial number on the BB can pinpoint what year.

    ** The next build off 2024 **

    That's a Monark. It'll be perfect for a build.

Bike from the Dead's Mockup Mash

The headtube has a more laid back angle than most step thru frames.

    Midnight Flash

Stretch frame with a choppper fork, looks good, like 8 feet of wheelbase. And the frame isn't jacked up, it looks right.

    TRADITIONAL Jumpy

That's a good idea to get a new set. That washer is a size that isn't common. Once you ride it a little, adjust the bearings so they're just right and it'll last a long time with little maintenence.

    Forgotten Dahon

A little theme music for this poor forgotten little bike. I ordered up some new parts, that all total came to 1800 pesos, or 32 dollars. Tires, rims, a coaster hub and a front sealed bearing high flange hub.

    TRADITIONAL Jumpy

That chain ring is a good choice, it compliments the frame colors. Between the chain ring and the cone/nut, there should be a washer. That may be the problem.

    Forgotten Dahon

I took off the handbrakes and put it back to it's original setup with just a coaster brake. It was a red Boardwalk single speed at a church sale for 10 bucks. All the hinges needed cleaned up and lubed but are all in good shape. I took off the Michelins and found cracks in one where it had been...
