Alright, adding 2 links made the chain too slack, so I had to rumage around and find an 18t rear cog to swap out for the 19 that was on there. That about dials it in as good as it'll get. I'm going to leave the 16" front, get a kickstand on it, then go get some pics!

Reassembled the hub. Bendix 76 hubs are really straight forward. However, I seem to have just enough time in between rebuilding them, that I forget 1 or 2 steps and still need to consult a chart or video 🤣

Made good headway yesterday. Cleaned all the hub parts. Started putting things together and realized I forgot a part riiiight after I put the retainer ring back on 😫 So I wrestled it apart, and then back together. *whew* Back in action.

Here's mine as I found it. Was really lucky to score a complete light from a local collector. I've seen the men's version in red. Here's a complete original (w/ some additional accessories).

Yeah 1953 is more likely. I am considering jumping in with a 1957 Higgins, and it was a one year only model (and headlight) without skirts.
